General Questions About TMM

What is Trader Make Money?

Trader Make Money is a trading journal and performance-review platform. It brings supported trade data, calculated metrics, journal notes, dashboards and AI-assisted analysis into one account.

TMM is designed for reviewing trades you have already made. It does not execute trades, predict prices or tell you what to buy.

Why use a trading journal?

A trading journal gives you a consistent record of decisions and results. It lets you compare setups, position size, risk, timing, entry and exit reasons, and other recorded factors without relying on memory.

A journal does not guarantee better results. Its purpose is to make your review process more accurate and repeatable.

How is TMM different from an Excel trading journal?

A spreadsheet can work well if you prefer entering and calculating everything manually. TMM reduces that work by importing supported trade data, calculating metrics and connecting the same record to dashboards, journal notes and AI-assisted review.

Excel may remain the better choice if you need a completely custom structure or use accounts that TMM cannot currently connect.

Can I connect Claude or ChatGPT to my trading journal?

Yes. TMM runs a free MCP server that gives supported AI clients — Claude, Claude Code or ChatGPT — read-only access to your own TMM data: trades, calculated metrics, notes, tags and journal entries.

The server exposes a fixed set of 15 read tools and no mutating tools, so a connected client can read your account but cannot change anything in it. You create a personal token, add one line of configuration to your AI client, and then ask questions about your own numbers instead of pasting screenshots.
