What is a KuCoin trading journal?
A KuCoin trading journal is a record of every trade you place on KuCoin, organized so you can measure performance instead of guessing at it. KuCoin's own interface shows you balances and a flat order history, but it won't tell you your win-rate on SOL longs, your average R-multiple, or how much funding quietly ate into your futures gains over a month.
A journal closes that gap. TMM builds yours automatically from your account data, so the log stays current without you logging anything by hand.
How TMM auto-imports your KuCoin trades
Connect once with a read-only API key and TMM keeps your journal in sync from then on. KuCoin keys work a little differently from most exchanges: when you create one, KuCoin asks you to set your own API passphrase on top of the key and secret, so there are three values to copy rather than two.
- •In KuCoin, open API Management under your account menu and create a new API key.
- •Set the permission to General / read-only. Leave Trade and Transfer/Withdraw switched off. TMM only ever reads your history; it can't move funds.
- •Choose your own API passphrase when prompted and note it down. KuCoin won't show it again.
- •Copy the API Key, API Secret, and Passphrase into TMM's KuCoin connection screen.
What you can track
TMM covers both sides of KuCoin: spot trades across its deep altcoin selection and USDT-M perpetual futures. For spot, you get realized PnL per coin, cost basis, and how your alt bags actually performed once fees were counted. For futures, you get the full leverage picture.
- •Net PnL after fees and funding — every funding payment KuCoin debited or credited on your perps is included, so the number you see is the real one.
- •Win-rate by symbol, by direction, and over any date range.
- •R-multiple and average win vs. average loss, so you can see whether your winners actually pay for your losers.
- •Equity curve across spot and futures combined.
- •Per-symbol breakdown so the coins draining your account stop hiding inside an aggregate balance.

Why traders use TMM for KuCoin
Most journals stop at entry, exit, and fees. On futures that's not the real number, because funding accrues every few hours whether you're watching or not. TMM is funding-aware, so a position that looked green on KuCoin's screen but bled out in funding shows up honestly in your stats.
There's an AI coach that reads your actual KuCoin history and points out patterns you'd rather not admit to: the revenge trades after a loss, the alt you keep averaging down on, the hours of day where you give it all back. You can publish an exchange-verified public profile, where the numbers are backed by real API data rather than screenshots, and rank on the leaderboards. More than 170,000 traders use TMM, and the core journal is free.
