We've changed how gains are calculated for the Top Traders leaderboard, effective today, June 1st.
The short version: the board was being dominated by people gaming it. Someone could drop a few dollars into an account, take wild bets with no real risk, and post an absurd percentage no serious trader could ever match. That made the rankings meaningless — and pushed disciplined, real traders out of contention entirely, because you can't compete with a gambler who has nothing to lose.
We've fixed that. We're not going to spell out the exact mechanics - partly so they can't just be gamed again - but the goal was simple: manipulating a tiny balance to fake an enormous return no longer works. Take a look at the board today and you'll already see the difference. The names at the top are people who are actually profitable, not someone who spun a small account and got lucky once.
